So interesting! Lots of great points. I really try and do mostly original material, even though I get lots of PR requests.

Can't wait until tomorrow's installment.

Hi gals!
Another great podcast. I love hearing what happens with PR companies approaching you and how you handled overlapping posts with other bloggers. It happens alot I know. The best thing about this?.....I can listen and still do my work at the same time! When I have to read the blogs....I can't get anything else done. This is GREAT!!!!!!!

Joni's voice makes me picture Tammy Faye Bakker.
Hello Ladies, I think it's so important for all of us not to self-censor too much - I love to read the authentic voice and experience the 'real' personalities of bloggers! Great topic. I listen to your podcasts while I work on other things here in my office. On that note: for those who feel that the podcasts are too long - I say nay - if you are surfing, blogging and checking in on all your favorite blogs, well then yes - 20 minutes is too long, but if you put the podcasts aside to listen to while you file or do paperwork or sketch or fold laundry - then 60 minutes would keep me riveted!!! You can also open a new browser and listen to the roundtable while you check emails.
Oops, I meant to write the above comment on the snarkery podcast. Oh well. As for content, I just go with my gut and what's interesting to me at that moment. As you know I always wanted to run a Lifestyle magazine in the real world, so when I met blogging I thought - my word - this is great - I can blog about any damn topic I want!

really interesting... I've also thought a lot about the different "design blogging groups" there seem to be & how I need to branch out more.... But the scary thing is, how do you find the time? I get so loyal to the blogs I read now, that I feel guilty when I can't read & comment every day!!
For my content I usually just start writing about whatever's on my mind design-wise at the time I sit down to write. I often find myself planning posts in my head & then never actually write them.

great info!! really enjoying this!! :)

Oh better late than never right? How sad that I haven't been able to squeeze in 17 minutes to just sit, breathe and listen until now.

I began my blog for my own self. As a way of documenting my life and I never dreamed so many people would read it. Your comments today have me thinking that I might start a second private blog for my family stuff and just leave Decor to Adore as a public blog.
Thanks for the insight.
