Oh...THAT was fun! Some great new blogs (notto mention some great OL ones!)

I think NOW I may be ready to deal with those green and red tupperware boxes that keep staring at me as I walk by...ignoring them.

Time to do some decorating!

Oh My Goodness! Thank you SOOOOOO much for featuring my trees. I am just very very very thankful, and humbled. Just so you know, you are correct, there is a 8.5' pencil artificial tree under all of those peacock feathers (about 700). I put a lot of effort into these this year - and it's so wonderful to have that recognized! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

* Well, helllllllloooo, is there ROOM for one more comment here???? Loved the pics, especially VV's HOLLY GOLIGHTLY~~~ It's SUCH FUN & soooo DIFFERENT & HAPPY!!! I actually found a tree just like that thru google, that hooked me up to the right store, so I ordered one. It's due "any minute" (yeah, right, & "the check's in the mail"!). Am putting it in our MBR that was just redecorated in mostly versions of whites, creams, & grey/blues... it's clean, uncluttered & beautiful... Thought THIS "CONTRAST" would be so "unexpected" & FUN in there for the holidays!!!

Seeing the White House Ornament reminds me we haven't ordered one for several years~~~ Have about a 14 or 15 year old collection & SOMEHOW, ordering one every year gets "forgotten", UNTIL bringing them out each year!!!(Thanks for the reminder~~ They're always so beautiful!)~

Hugs to all,

Don't know how I first found Cote de Texas, but hooked on CDC is an understatement - the SRT - I make tea and time for it! Imagine being able to listen C. Moss, A. Branca - unreal! But great.
And from CDC and her two pals a host of links to so many other wonderful blogs - I recently lost a treasured rug due to a flood in the house - going to replace it with seagrass! Wonder where that idea came from? I am rethinking the whole house with new eyes thanks to SRT et al.

Thanks for the delicious looks inside wonderful homes, great designers and thoughtful comments.

What class and graciousness you bring to women who have aspirations to improve the appearance of their homes.

You rise above a simplistic, "oh what a pretty lamp" to why a particular lamp, on that particular table, in that particular room with those particular colors and fabrics near those particular windows.

Those of us who care but either do not have the time or the money are able to begin the process of understanding 'why' that is a good lamp in that location and on that table.

Discrimination of values should always express our own taste but your insight and breadth give one a huge step up on figuring out how to make a nice looking home into a home that looks special and expresses our individuality.

A year of your round table is a year of grad school in design and decoration. Your listeners and watchers never graduate but we do keep on maturing. Ann

Thank you thank you thank you for taking the time to prepare these wonderful broadcasts for our benefit. I have bought quite a few books this year based on your recommendations and your guest speakers. I am a particularly devoted fan of Joni Webb and feel like I know her personally after reading all her blogs and listening to her now-familiar soft voice. Can't wait to hear the next installments in 2010! Happy New Year Y'All :) Cynthia
just discovered your blogs ... they're awesome ... so enlightening ... i'll try to catch up reading and listening ... thanks ...

Great different views of decorating how fun, thank you. I love the White House ornament and this is the first year that I didn't get one, hmm those relatives must not like me.
